MICHAEL HÖLTZEL
Michael Höltzel was the principal horn with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Philharmonic, and performed as a soloist with many world-class orchestras. After being appointed to a post at the music college in Detmold, he mainly devoted himself to promoting young talents, a task at which he was greatly successful.
Prize-winning horn players such as Radovan Vlatkovic, Bruno Schneider, Eric Terwilliger, Esa Tapani, Alessio Allegrin and Paolo Mendes all studied with him. Michael Höltzel was a guest professor at the School
of Music in Bloomington and gives master classes all over Europe.
